Jonathan Green Poster

In addition to being one of the inspiring forces of the Lowcountry Rice Culture Project, for well over three decades Jonathan Green has supported numerous charities by licensing them to reproduce images of some of his paintings in a limited edition poster format to help raise funds for their organizations.

In 2015, SCELP invited Jonathan Green as keynote speaker and featured artist for the 6th annual Wild Side event at Hobcaw Barony. Although his participation was regretfully cancelled due to the historical flooding of that October, we have been gifted with a wonderful poster that we have since made available to our generous supporters.

Port Royal Fisherman is a truly remarkable painting that make a lasting impression on all lovers of the Lowcountry and anyone who care about the relationship between humans and their environment.

Please note that a poster is a photographic reproduction of an image from a painting and is not an original fine art print. Fine art prints are created in a manner in which the image is unique to the print.

This limited edition poster features one of Jonathan Green’s most remarkable painting. It captures the beauty of our Lowcountry landscape--marsh, water, birds--and the intimate relationship between our environment and the people and culture of South Carolina. Like a Gullah "Prince of Tides", this fisherman is also a crucial sentinel for all who care about the environment, nurturing a deep and first hand knowledge of the changes occurring above and under water.
