Our volunteers include attorneys who help us with legal work; experts who help us analyze technical, scientific, and resource issues; photographers who help us produce court exhibits and our newsletter photos; and many others who provide valuable help in many aspects of our work.
SCELP is also a wonderful place to work. We are headquartered in downtown Georgetown and have branches in Mount Pleasant and Greenville. We offer law students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain meaningful experience in environmental litigation.
SCELP offers internships for students in non-legal fields, such as science, public administration, communications and marketing. We seek students with a commitment to environmental protection and justice and with strong research and/or communications skills.
SCELP offers externships and fellowships for those law students and recent graduates who are able to secure class credit or funding. While SCELP has no formal deadlines for these opportunities, often funding from a law school, equal justice works, or other program is limited. Law students interested in applying for a fellowship or externship with SCELP should contact us as early as possible to coordinate efforts.
