SCELP hires up to two unpaid law student summer interns each year, on a rolling basis. Usually application review begins after fall semester grades are in (January/February). We work with students to receive grant funding and/or class credit, when available. SCELP gives preference in the hiring process to 2Ls, but all applicants are considered.
To apply, submit a cover letter, resume, writing sample and transcript to Michael Corley - michael@scelp.org
SCELP offers externships and fellowships for those law students and recent graduates who are able to secure class credit or funding. While SCELP has no formal deadlines for these opportunities, often funding from a law school, equal justice works, or other program is limited. Law students interested in applying for a fellowship or externship with SCELP should contact us as early as possible to coordinate efforts.
