DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A Lowcountry nonprofit is suing Dorchester County and Dorchester County Council after the recent implementation of a zoning change.
The Dorchester Trust Foundation has filed the lawsuit over the amendment, which the group says allows for "a singular gas station or convenience store to operate on Cooks Crossroads next to the Ashley River floodplain."
Plans to develop the intersection of Highway 165 and Highway 61 have been in the making for several years.
