Cynthia Powell is a longtime Myrtle Beach resident, and is manager of her family business, Senior Golfers of America. She has served as State Chair of Conservation Voters of South Carolina, and currently is their Education Fund Board Chairman. Her claim to fame is that she once garnered over 2,000 signatures in a successful campaign to keep billboards from the new Highway 22 in Horry County.
