During Charleston County’s Tuesday council meeting, county leaders agreed to defer a vote on a proposed settlement that would allow developers to build in the area of the historic Ten Mile community.
Part of the reasoning for deferring the vote, mentioned in the meeting, was because council members felt there was not enough information on the legal aspect of it.
District 2 Councilman Larry Kobrovsky, who represents part of the area, also said by deferring the vote, the county council is able to hear more community input.
Although councilmembers do not feel comfortable speaking on the litigation and legal matter just yet, Kobrovsky is very adamant about preserving the historic area.
